1940-1950's Vintage WALTER LAMPL Sterling Silver Ornate Scroll Repousse' Puffy Heart Charm
Very Good Vintage Condition from the 1940-1950's.
Walter Lampl of New York who's slogan was "Creators of the Unusual-as Usual" created these beautiful charms during the 1940's Heart Charm Revival. They were made out of sterling silver because the use of gold, platinum, rhodium and other base metals were restricted during the Second World War. Walter Lampl was one of the few companies to continue producing the Puffy Heart Charms until the end of the 1950's.
Measures 3/4 inch in length by 1/2 inch in width.
Hallmarked "Sterling" and "WL" in a shield which is the hallmark for Walter Lampl.
