Vintage Johnson Matthey 1 ounce Silver Coin: Freedom The American Way Silver Round from the 1980's Freedom Series - PGS Coins

These silver coins are hard to find and becoming increasingly rare..

The obverse depicts a frontier family of three in front of an old American flag with 13 stars. Centered upon the silhouette of America's borders, this family is encircled by "FREEDOM" and "THE AMERICAN WAY".

The reverse shows an elaborate scale encircled by "JOHNSON MATTHEY" and "1 TROY OUNCE .999 FINE SILVER". "1985" is to the left of the scale and "USA" is to the right of it. Below the scale is the JM logo with crossed hammers.

* This 1 oz silver round is one of ten in Johnson Matthey's "Freedom Series". It was created in the early 1980s and is no longer being produced. This rare and hard to find "Freedom Series" was based upon The Bill of Rights which is the collective name for the first ten amendments to the United States Constitution.
